We have our “National Technology Day” on May 11, which is celebrated every year to commemorate the achievements of scientists, researchers, engineers and all others involved in the field of science and technology, reminding Indians about the technological advancements made by the country.
Civil Engineering Association, AJCE in collaboration with ICI, is all set to celebrate this Day by organising a few technical events under the name "GENERIX 22", the details and registration link of which are attached with this mail.
The game events are ‘Technical Treasure Hunt’, ‘CAD Modelling’ and ‘Build It Up’. A technical talk by Dr. Binu M.Issac (Associate Professor in CE, AJCE), on “Basic Principles of Planning with relevance to Grouping” is arranged on the same day, in offline and online mode.
All are welcome to participate in the events.

BUILD IT UP
EVENT DESCRIPTION
• Construct scaled model of a renowned civil engineering structure using ice cream sticks.
• Two members per team.
• Name of the structure to be modelled will be revealed 10 minutes before competition.
EVENT DETAILS
• Date: 11th May 2022
• Participation Certificate will be provided.
• KTU Activity Points will be awarded.
EVENT RULES
• Time Duration - 2 hours
• Use provided materials only
• Additional materials won't be granted
• External materials are not allowed
• Mobile phones, smart watches and other gadgets are not allowed
• Decision of judges will be final

CAD MODELLING
EVENT DESCRIPTION
*Solo Event
* Propose any building that the participant feel as needed in AJCE campus, and draw the plan and elevation for the same.
*The drawing should be based on the National Building Code.
*Copy of required specification of the building can be brought.
